Ceramics Workshop - Hamsa making in Burnaby

Join us on October 24th to create beautiful hand-made Hamsas using clay. Hamsas are a traditional symbol of protection, and in this session, you will shape and design one that is unique to you using seasonal plants and textures that reflect your style.

This workshop will be guided by Anna Maliatski, a Burnaby-based clay artist, teacher and therapist specializing in expressive, hands-on creative workshops. With a rich background in Jewish culture, Anna loves helping participants explore their creativity in a relaxed, welcoming environment where fun, community, and artistic expression come together.

Art is not just about creating something beautiful; it's also a soulful and empowering way to get in touch with your energy and tune into your feelings, needs, dreams, and goals. This workshop is designed to help you bring more happiness and peace into your life through the power of art.

After the session, your creation will be fired, and in 3 weeks, it will be ready for pickup.

No experience is needed—just bring your creativity! Complimentary snacks and tea provided.

Classes are small, and spots are limited.

The event is on October 24 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm in Burnaby. Exact location will be provided to those who register.

  • All supplies included

Notice of Photography - There will be a photographer present at this event taking photos for future promotional purposes: social media, newsletters, website, annual reports. If you do not wish to have your photo taken and/or used in any material, please inform a staff member on site.
